This is about a hideaway in the Swiss Alps …
located in Maloja on Lake Sils, in the
Upper Engadine – not far from legendary
St. Moritz.
Quiet, secluded, in the most beautiful nature at
1800 meters above sea level.
During the day, the frozen lake attracts …
… sometimes white,
sometimes frozen
black.
Back at the house a warm fire makes for cozy evenings.
Then the landscape transforms:
snow and ice melt.
Winter is followed by the mountain summer.
Here the cows are brought to
the alp – the „Alpaufzug“.
The hike to the hidden mountain lake Cavloc is
one of our favourites.
The spruce needles are changing color.
The Engadine is famous for its golden autumn.
Then, winter comes back.
Lake Sils freezes again.
